However focus may not be what we usually consider.
We are what we mostly think about. In other words, we are a product of our dominating thoughts.
This is the area I have been working on for the last few months with even greater clarity. The task at hand is to literally focus on what on want, thereby eliminating all the “don’t wants”. As soon as we try not to think of something we don’t want……..ooops there it is again! Don’t think of the pink elephant in the corner of the room. Now what are you thinking of?
How do you go with thinking only of what you want? So many of the great teachers convey that this is the way we construct our lives. Whether we think we are constructing it or not, we actually are. So for me the aim is to fill my mental space with as much “want” thinking and thereby ultimately eliminate the “don’t wants” thinking.
Let me know of your experiences.
That’s my area of current work……..and it’s paying off. I feel better, more relaxed and more aligned. There is more good coming my way, literally as I write this.
What experiences have you of this “phenomenon” of focusing with intent, only on what you want?
Thank you David,
it is good to read something similar to what I am working with. And yes it does work. And it does take practice in being aware of those habitual thoughts and redirecting our thinking to something we want.
Good Stuff.
Keep up the good work
